MSc Programme in Mathematics
The history of the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science of Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań begins as early as in 1919. Today we form one of Poland’s leading research centres in mathematics which has been confirmed by many research grants of the National Science Centre. The Faculty has also an outstanding reputation in undergraduate and postgraduate education.
In 2019 Adam Mickiewicz University became, among the other ten Polish universities, the winner of the “Initiative of Excellence – Research University” competition organized by the Minister of Science and Higher Education. The University is also a part of the European consortium EPICUR. The Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science is an important and vibrant element of these programmes.
The aim of the MSc Programme in Mathematics is to deepen knowledge of mathematical theories, building on student’s experience on a Bachelor’s level. Students acquire the ability to work on mathematical problems independently, solve them with the use of mathematical tools, express themselves clearly on academic issues.
With a Master’s degree in Mathematics from the Adam Mickiewicz University, you will get qualified for many jobs in private and public sector including financial institutions. You will be also able to pursue an academic career.
