AMU remains high in THE Ranking by Subject

In the Times Higher Education 2021 ranking published today, the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan has maintained its strong position when compared by subject in the following areas:

  • Arts & Humanities (401-500)
  • Education (301-400)
  • Life Sciences (501-600)
  • Physical Sciences (601-800)

In addition, in the field of Social Sciences, we have moved up from positions within the 501-600 range to positions 401-500.

THE Rankings by Subject covers 11 subject areas, indicating the top places recommended to students and researchers in a given discipline. This year’s ranking includes a record of 1512 universities represented by at least one subject area.

In the highest-ranking areas of Education and Social Sciences, AMU is ranked 1st in Poland. In the other areas mentioned above we are in 2nd place, closely following the University of Warsaw.

Also noteworthy are the results of the Best Global Universities Rankings 2021 published on October 20 this year by U.S. News & World Report, in which UAM ranks 807th in the world ranking and is the 5th university in Poland.

In the subject ranking the best scores were given to:
Arts and Humanities (235)
Environment/Ecology (327)
Plant and Animal Science (373)

It is worth mentioning that in the field of environmental sciences AMU is ranked 1st in the country, ahead of Warsaw University and Jagiellonian University and preceeding both by 7 and 67 places, respectively.
