STEP 1

CHECK ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

REGISTER ON-LINE

Inorderto applyon – line, please visit: www.incoming.amu.edu.pl and follow the instructions provided.


STEP 3

SUBMIT YOUR APPLICATION AND DOCUMENT ONLINE

ll the documents and the application (available for registered users) should be uploaded online via incoming.amu.edu.pl.


STEP 4

PRE-ADMISSION DECISION

The decision of pre-acceptance is issued upon submitting all required documents online. Preacceptance letter will include bank transfer details that the tuition fee should be transferred to.


STEP 5

MAKE PAYMENTOF THE TUITION

The tuition fee should be transferred to AMU bank account indicated in the pre-acceptance letter and scan of the proof of payment should be sent to International Office. Emails addresses will be included in the pre-acceptance letter via e-mail.


STEP 6

ADMISSION DECISION

The final decision of admission is issued after sending proof of payment to the International Office via email. The decision of admission is issued within 14 working days after receiving the proof of payment.


STEP 7

UPLOAD YOUR PHOTO FOR STUDENTID

After receiving the admission decision, your application online will be accepted and you will then have a chance to upload a photo for students ID.


STEP 8

SIGNING THE CONTRACT

The final step of the admission process is signing the terms and conditions of tuition payment. The contract will be handed to you in the International Office upon your arrival at AMU.

1-YEAR INTENSIVE COURSE OF POLISH


  • The 20 hours per week course is an intensive language course, preparatory for prospective students at AMU.
  • The course comprises 600 hours of classes per year.

Send scan copies to schoolpl@amu.edu.pl of:

  • high school leaving certificate (legalized or with APOSTILLE), or Bachelor or Master diploma
  • copy of a passport (page with the photograph)

STEP 3

When your documents are revised, you will be asked to make a transfer.

Payment for the chosen course should be made directly to the University account: Bank Zachodni WBK SA VI O/Poznan Account number: PL77 1090 1362 0000 0000 3601 7903 BIC (SWIFT): WBKPPLPP


STEP 4

Send a copy of the payment slip to schoolpl@amu.edu.pl

The School may issue anfinal enrollment letter after receiving the tuition fee.


STEP 5

Once you obtain a visa

You should send a scan copy via e-mail to schoolpl@amu.edu.pl


More informations:

  • The 20 hours per week course is an intensive language course, preparatory for prospective students at AMU.
  • The course comprises 600 hours of classes per year.
  • In the second semester, apart from Polish classes, we also offer specialized classes ranging from biology/chemistry to history and politics to economy and mathematics.
  • In addition, every semester the participants may attend 2 AMU-PIE lectures.
  • The School provides students with books in the first semester.
  • The tuition fee is 3100 EURO per year. Payment in installments is not allowed for candidates outside EU.
  • Visa procedures take a few weeks, thus it is important to apply for a visa at least two months before the commencement of the course. We don’t accept students who are late.
  • Due to a limited number of places, accommodation in a student’s dormitory is offered for those who apply first.
  • The additional cost per month is circa 450 PLN.
STEPS FOR CANDIDATES

STEP 1

Fill the online application.

register in the Online Admissions System (OAS) – specify financial conditions based on which you are applying to AMU. Please, pay special attention to the spelling of your given name and surname – it MUST match the spelling in your passport.  Please, provide an accurate address to be able to receive all correspondence from AMU.


STEP 2

I – first-cycle studies (BA), long-cycle studies (5-year programs)

Attach the required documents, a photo of good quality and foreign school certificate in line with the requirements. AMU Department of Education must compute your scores. If you have taken the Polish Matura exam, please enter your results in the OAS.
For some programmes you might be required to take additional exams. Information about this can be found under the selected programme in the programme catalogue. Admission subcommittee will notify you about the exact day and time of the exam.

Remember to pay the enrollment fee.

II – second-cycle studies (MA)

Attach the required documents and foreign diploma in line with the requirements. AMU Department of Education must compute your scores. If you hold a diploma from a Polish university, please enter the grade in the Online Admissions System.
Some programmes require taking additional exams. Admission subcommittee will notify you about the exact day and time of the exam.

Remember to pay the enrollment fee.  Please, read the admission schedule carefully – key dates are listed for each programme.  At this stage, you must submit/send a set of required documents to the admission subcommittee.

STEP 3

I – first-cycle studies (BA), long-cycle studies (5-year programs)

List of candidates selected for admission. A Candidate selected for admission is obliged to submit all required documents within the specified time limit and upon doing so is expected to take up the studies in the programme.  Failure to submit the required documents within the specified time limit means the candidate opts out of taking up the studies. If you changed your mind and do not wish to take up studies in this programme, click “resign” so that other candidates have a chance to be selected.

A candidate not selected for admission may submit, within the specified time limit, a statement on willingness to take up the studies. The statement is submitted electronically via the Online Admissions System.

Decision to deny admission will be sent to you by post.

II – second-cycle studies (MA)

Results of selection procedure will be posted in the Online Admissions System. Upon logging into his/her account, the candidate will see information on admission or denial of admission.


STEP 4

I – first-cycle studies (BA), long-cycle studies (5-year programs)

Within dates specified for each programme in the programme catalogue you must provide documents to the admission subcommittee at the faculty where you wish to study.

To have a copy of a document attested by AMU you must present the original document for inspection to the admission subcommitte which then will be able to attest the copy. If the required documents are submitted by a third party or sent by post, only copies of documents should be submitted/sent.  At the beginning of the academic year, please, take the original documents to the students’ dean’s office where the submitted copy will be attested.

Please, remember that the date the documents are physically delivered to AMU is the date of submission.

– Admitted candidates receive a decision on admission to a given programme.

Please, read the admission schedule carefully – key dates are listed for each programme in the programme catalogue. In the catalogue, you can also find information about the type of selection procedure and exams, if any are required.

  • Calculating the results of selection procedure

The basis for the order on the selection lists is the score calculated based on the Matura exam/ its foreign equivalents or grades on the diploma.

Scores based on foreign documents are calculated on an individual basis.

Computation methods used to determine the selection results depend on the admitting unit and type of programme for which rules on specific subjects considered during selection, the number of subjects and weights are established.

For some programmes you might be required to take additional exams. Information about this can be found under the selected programme in the programme catalogue.
